Using the latest material technology such as Danpalon external wall cladding materials, the experts behind the Port Coogee Marina Estate found the balance between functional spaces and cutting-edge design.

The estate’s apartment building features 50 apartments across five levels overlooking a landscaped public park and the pristine Coogee coastline.

Situated 150 metres from the beach and a world-class marina, Port Coogee Marina Estate offered plenty of inspiration and a few challenges to navigate. The team at M/Constructions, Match property and With Architecture Studio aimed to exceed rather than just meet standard building requirements. The final result speaks for itself.

Match is a boutique property development company with key philosophies to be met for all their projects. Each project should be unique in that it responds directly to its specific environment and landscape. Culture and heritage are essential, as is the lifestyle that the project will offer its residents and community.

M/Constructions are master builders and ideally placed to move the project from foundation to completion (finishing two weeks early). M/Constructions boasts a safe and healthy work environment and expert staff. From removing basement level rock to adding extra stormwater run-off, M/Constructions used their foresight and expertise to meet each challenge presented. Products and materials were chosen specifically for the location. With sea breezes and pristine views of the coastline also came additional considerations for weatherproofing and long-term corrosion protection.

With_Architecture Studio designed the building to provide coastline views from protected balconies and a bold ‘signature’ design with a practical, clean interior. Architect Geoff Warn needed quality materials that offered the best of both worlds to achieve the design intent – the feel of an urban lifestyle situated in a quiet, pristine beachside location. Geoff has extensive experience with Danpalon systems and knew it would be ideal here.

Danpalon was used extensively in stairwells, walls and service risers due to its compatibility with the project brief and philosophies.

• 100% waterproof low maintenance system.
• Microcell technology ensures high durability, even in a coastal location.
• High thermal insulation reduces energy costs and increases thermal comfort.
• Lightweight panels make for simple and efficient installation.
• Codemark-certified manufacturing ensures full quality control.
• Comfortable ambient daylight. The panels capture the light and diffuse it evenly, reducing glare and washing the space in natural light.
• Panels can be illuminated at night to create a ‘lightbox’ effect.
• Available in an array of colours to compliment any design and environment.

Danpalon external wall cladding is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it is also durable, weatherproof and energy efficient.

The Port Coogee Marina Estate raises the standard in modern, sustainable, quality coastal and urban living using the most advanced material technology in Australia.
