Learning Space at Brisbane Grammar School
The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Precinct at Brisbane Grammar School was designed by Wilson Architects to excite, engage and inspire students and staff with a dynamic new learning space facilitating greater levels of connectivity.
A series of flexible learning spaces and circular-shaped design hubs were partially enclosed with horizontal curved Danpalon panels. Providing a degree of enclosure while maintaining high natural light levels, Danpalon partitions were ideal for bending on site to the required shapes. They provided the strength required for a balustrade application whilst being flexible and lightweight with only minimal framing requirements.

They also offered the highest possible fire rating available for an internal wall lining. The overall effect created in the large internal volume of the building is sense of spaciousness and openness, that simultaneously manages to provide a series of relatively intimate spaces for students to congregate and collaborate with good natural lighting.
